The Aerotrack Market is a public section of the application that is designed to help your organisation sell your surplus inventory as well as view a list of available items from other Aerotrack customers. You can publish items that you wish to sell from your own Inventory to the market and they will appear there for all other Aerotrack customers to view and purchase directly from you.
As of January 2016 there are over 100 Aerotrack customers using the Cloud and the market is an excellent way to advertise and sell your surplus stock without incurring any advertising charges or commissions. The market is also live from the Cloud Server so if you see a part listed there it means it is available from the vendor, when a part is sold, booked to a job or adjusted out through Aerotrack it is automatically removed from the marketplace.
The Market is accessed from the Inventory screen. The table displays all the parts available from all other Aerotrack customers and can be sorted by each column heading by clicking on the column name.
Publishing a part from your Inventory to Market
Parts are added to the Market by individual part number and can be added one Batch (GRN) at a time or all batches at once.
- Open the Batch List from within the Inventory screen.
- Open the part you wish to add to the Market.
- Click “Publish to Aerotrack Market” button located in the Functions sections.
- Options allow the user to publish just that Batch (GRN) or all batches belonging to that part number. Select and click on the preferred option and the part will be available immediately in the market. If the item is a Life Component a reminder to include the TSN/TSO in the notes section of the market will appear.
Viewing and appending items in the Market
The user can view the items that have been published from the inventory and add comments into the Notes section. This section can be useful to add information regarding documentation or remaining life of a component.
The “Contact Details” are drawn from the System Administration section from the “Contact Sales” details.
If you need to amend the contact details go to the System Administration section and enter the new information. Clicking the “Market” button will push the changes out to all items already in the market place.
The Market can be searched using the Quick Find field, type in the part number you require and either push enter, tab or click out of the field. A more detailed search is also available using the ‘Find” window. Enter the search criteria that you require and click the find button.
Aerotrack will actively alert a user to parts available in the Market from within the Purchase Order module. If a part is added to a PO which exists in the Marketplace the user will see a dialogue box telling them that the part is available from the Marketplace. The alert is shown below.
